How the charity works

The charity works in two ways, firstly we run a service funded predominately by Service Level Agreement and paid for by schools.  To do this, a school agrees a timescale and pays a set rate per hour for a nurse on site.

Secondly we apply to local companies and national organisations for grants and funding that allows us to fund additional sessions or reduce the rate school pays to make it more affordable. We also use funds to build our support team so that the nurses are well supported in their practice and decision making.

We use some donations to offer schools in more deprived areas free sessions so that children in these areas are targeted for support based on the likelihood of inequality they face.

This contributes towards levelling up for children whose outcomes may not have been as good as they could be.

All Schools have the option to agree a Service Level Agreement with us where they pay an hourly rate for a nurse and with the option of other services in addition. This may be staff training, parent sessions, parent advice calls, feelings journals, shared resources etc.

This means that children in all areas (deprived and affluent) have access to a School Nurse.

Building community capacity through specialised intervention is the aim of our service.
