Registered Paediatric Nurse since 1993.

​

A qualified Public Health School Nurse with a First class BSc in Specialist Community Public Health School Nursing.

 

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Specialist School Nurse and Paediatric Nurse

 

Member of the School and Public Health Nurses Association (SAPHNA).

 

Enhanced DBS checked.

Experience working on children's wards in specialist areas including, surgery, oncology, children's A&E, out patients, neurology and forensic children's services for eighteen years.

 

Eight years experience as a School Nurse in North Tyneside for the NHS and North Tyneside Council.

 

Experience in running behavioural and mental health clinics for children and young people. Working with children who are vulnerable, anxious, at risk of exploitation, self harming, risk taking and/or have additional needs to feel more contained and maximise their potential.  Working with families to support them with accessing specialist services.

Working within a multiagency team to support families during challenging times in their lives. 

 

Trained and regularly updated in the latest practices and innovations as well as safeguarding and resuscitation.
